Prof Norman Fleck is a Professor of the Mechanics of Materials in Engineering at the University of Cambridge and Foreign Member of the US National Academy of Engineering. His work focuses on the mechanical properties of engineering materials, with an interest in hierarchically modelling performance and degradation.
