Dr Wenqing Zhu is a Research Associate in the Department of Engineering at the
University of Cambridge. He obtained his PhD from Peking University in 2022, followed
by a postdoctoral position at City University of Hong Kong from 2022 to 2024. His
research interests include the mechanics of advanced metallic materials and nano-sized
materials, with particular emphasis on the development of multiscale models for
understanding deformation and fracture behaviors. Within the FutureCat program, he
focuses on continuum-scale simulations for predictions of electro-chemo-mechanical
behaviors of battery materials.
