Li Zhang obtained her Ph.D. from the Technische Universität Berlin (Germany). Her project consisted of exploring low-cost cathodes for Na-ion batteries, with special focus on their local structures. Part of her project was carried out at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Helmholtz-Institut Münster (Germany). She joined the Tapia-Ruiz’s group as Research Associate of Lancaster University in June 2020, to work in the Faraday Institution’s FutureCat project, where she will investigate novel spinel cathodes used in Li-ion batteries using local order techniques (EXAFS and PDF). Li has recently moved to Imperial College London, continuing as part of Nuria Tapia-Ruiz group.
