Dr Tobias Bird is a Post Doctoral Research Associate on the I15-1 beamline at Diamond Light Source. His previous work mainly focuses on understanding the structure-property relationship from a local structure perspective, and he has developed a method to classify and quantify local structural deviations from the average. His work with the Faraday Institution involves applying advanced analysis techniques to large datasets, in particular diffraction tomography.
