Matthew received an MSci in natural sciences from Lancaster University, where he is currently undertaking a PhD focusing on non-equilibrium electrodes in lithium-ion batteries under the supervision of Dr Xiao Hua. Through characterisation of electrode materials, Matthew hopes to improve the sustainability of lithium-ion batteries to contribute to a more sustainable future. He is part of the Faraday Institution PhD enriched programme (Cohort 6).
