Dr. Ashley Roach began working as a postdoctoral researcher with Norman Fleck in September 2023 at University of Cambridge. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of New Mexico, and a PhD in Materials Science from University of California Santa Barbara. She has worked on metal powder bed additive manufacturing, small scale mechanical tests and in-situ electron imaging, and Phase Field Dislocation Dynamics (PFDD) modeling. For her work with the FutureCat project she will be studying dendrite formation in Li ion batteries, and the electro-mechanical performance of future cathode materials.
