Dr Laurie Middlemiss is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield. His PhD focused on the performance optimisation of sodium-ion batteries. He has since worked on improving the manufacturing of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries through better understanding electrode microstructures. He is currently researching conductive binders for Li-ion electrodes.
