Graham N. Newton obtained his PhD from the University of Glasgow (UK) in 2009. After a period  on a JSPS postdoctoral research fellowship and as Assistant Professor at the University of Tsukuba (Japan), he moved to the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2015 where he is now Associate Professor. He is Co-I on the LiSTAR and FutureCat projects and his research interests include the synthesis and characterisation of organic–inorganic hybrid molecular materials, the fabrication of redox-active nanomaterials, and the development of electrolytes and additives for next-generation battery technologies. His focus on the FutureCat project will be on electrolyte development.
