Dr Darren A. Walsh obtained his PhD from Dublin City University (Ireland) in 2002 followed by a postdoctoral position at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently a Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. His research interests include the development and applications of electrochemical methods, with particular emphasis on the development of electrocatalysts and electrolytes for electrochemical energy conversion and storage. Within the FutureCat program, he will understand electro-oxidation of electrolyte solutions at highly positive potentials.
